Distance: 14.5km, height gain: 793 mtrs.  FRA AM race

11am start

Race HQ will be Cardington Village Hall. Race numbers and dibbers must be collected on the day. Please bring your own pins. Make sure you return your dibber after the race.

We need to be careful about parking on roads within the village. There are some residents who get very upset about this. Please only park in the official car parks. If we have problems with parking, we may not be able to hold the race there again in future years.

All runners must carry the required full FRA kit throughout the race. It is not optional.

The route is marked and marshalled except the section off the first hill The Lawley, which is an obvious run down the spine of the hill. There are some short sections of road and 3 road crossings, please be aware of traffic. The course can be wet especially in December, shoes with plenty of grip recommended. Although the hills in Shropshire are not the highest, the course is quite gruelling and conditions on the summits can be testing, especially at this time of the year. Please come prepared.

Race records are Rachel Parker 1.23.24 in 2018 and Tim Davies 1.09.43 in 2006.

If you retire please make sure you let one of the marshals and the finish officials know, so we do not coming looking for you out on the hill, and also return your dibber.

Water will be available at the finish but none on the course. If you would like to leave a water container at the finish there will be a table available for personal drinks.

If you know anyone who would be available to help marshal on the day please let me know, we can never have enough, all help appreciated.

We are most grateful for the support of many residents and all landowners and farmers who allow us to run over their land.
