*SPUNCH* Sale & the Mersey Valley
Can be done solo, in a pair, or as a team of 3 or more. Each participant needs to put in an individual entry EXCEPT juniors under 18 who can go for free with a paying adult. Juniors up to age 18 go for FREE but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 21. Juniors aged 16 and above can run alone with parental permission. A waterproof map of the course is provided to ALL participants.

Saturday Afternoon Countryside Spunch Event - 1/2/3 hour score course options exploring the trails, parks and nature reserves of the Mersey Valley. Registration, Bag Drop, Start, Finish, Food & Drink all at the highly rated Tree Tops Cafe, Rifle Road, Sale M33 2LX.
Navigating with an enhanced and enlarged OS/OO Map.
South East Manchester - just 2 mins from M60 J6. 25 mins from M6 J19 & 20. No more than 25 mins from anywhere on the M60. Convenient for all of Greater Manchester and the surrounding area.
Also, the event centre is within 5 mins walk of the Sale Water Park Metrolink Tram Stop on the Navy Line - and so it is easily accessible from ANYWHERE ON THE METROLINK TRAM NETWORK.
Run, jog or walk - suitable for trail runners, park runners, road runners, fell runners, adventure runners, orienteers, walkers, and newcomers alike. Great for families and friends to do together. Suitable for all ages and abilities - lots of help available for newcomers.
Start anytime between 1230 pm & 2pm. Registration open from 1215pm. (1hr course first start 1pm. 3hr course last start 130pm)
3k to 33k, the choice is yours!
Visit as many checkpoints as you can in the time available, S-punching using the MapRun app on your smartphone, Garmin or Apple Watch.
A new Spunch venue and area centred on the excellent Tree Tops Cafe, conveniently located to allow exploration of this much-greener-than-you-might-expect area! Though it is not hilly, you will find plenty to keep you interested and loads of good running, walking and navigating, on great multi-surface trails through diverse environments!
Even locals may discover parts that they don't normally reach!
Everything is at or near the cafe event centre. Food and drink from the cafe after your run / walk, to be enjoyed either indoors or outdoors (weather permitting). Ample and convenient parking all within 5 mins walk of the event centre.
With 80+ Spunchpoints to go for, and a 3 hour option to consider, could you get the lot?!
