RAF Spadeadam was first built in 1955 and it was the test centre for the Blue Streak rocket, an intermediate range ballistic missile. The Blue Streak Trail Run takes in the iconic launch platforms, military equipment and practise targets. Whilst offering amazing views over the Lake District, Hadrians Wall and Spadeadam Forest.
Due to the run taking place on an active RAF Station you will be able to see military historical sites up close that is not normally accessible. Book you place now as numbers are limited.
Each finisher will receive a medal and a few other goodies.
All profits will be donated to the RAF Benevolent Fund. For more than 100 years, the RAF Benevolent Fund has been supporting members of our RAF Family through thick and thin providing practical, emotional, and financial support whenever they need us.
We would like to thank Landmarc and others for sponsoring the event to enable this event to take place.
The distances are approximate to ensure we capture as many sights as possible. Spectators will not be able to access the RAF Station.
Thankyou and see you on Saturday 10 May 2025 for a 1000 start. A brief will be given approx 0945.
