This event is designed primarily for newcomers to orienteering, and for those wanting an opportunity to practise and improve their orienteering skills.
The assembly tent is adjacent to Kingswood on the Western side of Cock Lane 200m from the school car parking.
Follow the taped route and use the marshalled crossing of Cock Lane. Traffic can travel fast along this road so children must be supervised.
The start and the finish are about 300m from the carpark across the road. If you have your own dibber you can go straight to the start. If you hire a dibber go to the assembly tent first.
If you are new to orienteering, look for one of our helpers when you arrive. They will be glad to explain the basics of orienteering to you.
IMPORTANT: Courses close at 1pm. You must report to the download tent by 1pm latest, even if you retire or have not finished. The controls will be collected from 1pm onwards.
