Safety Notes

Orienteering is an adventure sport and you take part at your own risk. There are slips and trips hazards in the area and dependent on the weather there may be snow and ice.

Shadowing and Juniors. Note that anyone under the age of 14 MUST be accompanied on the course by an adult unless the parent/guardian can convince the organiser of the young orienteer's proven competence at night orienteering. If you shadow a junior on the Short/Long you should declare yourself non-competitive to the organiser if later running one of those courses.

Spare torch (emergency 'get you home' torch) & whistles are required and mobiles strongly recommended at all NNC events. An extra top layer and high-vis reflective clothing may also be sensible choices depending on the weather on the night.

There will be dog walkers and other people around in the event area, please be aware and considerate of others.
