Let's Run- Hardmoors 55 1st half recce

The Lets Run Adventures recce of the first half of the Hardmoors 55 takes place from Guisborough to Scarth Nick. The route will include Rosebery Topping, Kildale, Bloworth and the Wainstones.
The start will be at Fountain Street , Guisborough car park TS14 6QF at 8.30 am
The bus will leave the Black Horse Pub, Swainby DL6 3ED at 8.00 am, for those who wish to leave their cars at the finish. The bus is £10 per person.
The route will replicate the Hardmoors 55 from Guisborough to Scarth Nick. There will be 2 checkpoints with drinks and snacks; the first at Kildale and the second at Claybank.
Runners will be divided into groups. Each group will be led by experienced run leaders who have all completed this section of the race. This is a recce and not a race and as the Hardmoors 55 is unsupported there will be plenty of opportunities to re-group and ask questions and advice from our leaders to help you on the 'main event'. Each group will have sweepers to support you throughout the day.
When you arrive in Swainby, there will be hot drinks and snacks available before you head home.

The Hardmoors race description reminds us to not underestimate this winter event and therefore it is important for you to carry the full kit.
Mandatory Equipment (as per race requirements)
- Hat (not a bandana) and gloves
- Spare gloves
- Waterproof Jacket (must have a hood and taped seams)
- Waterproof trousers
- Full running tights (Tracksters & 3/4 tights permitted)
- Minimum of 1 litre water/sports drink
- Headtorch and batteries
- Cleveland Way Map or O.S. Map
- Whistle
- Survival Bag
- Foil Blanket
- Emergency food supply (chocolate bar/energy bar etc)
- Spare warm layer
- Fully charged mobile phone
- Suggested: ski goggles if the weather forecast is snow.
Please bring a soft cup to use at checkpoints
It is suggested that you have the OS Locate and What three words Apps downloaded onto your phone.
