EAOA and RAF Honington welcome you to the British Sprint Relay Champs 2025. 

The terrain

• All courses will be within the perimeter fence of the base.   Assembly and parking will be outside.  The terrain is fast and flat with an array of unusual buildings not on any regular layout, punctuated by iconic items of historical military hardware. We expect this will make for highly enjoyable sprint running for all age classes.

Location

• RAF Honington is located about 9 miles NNE of Bury St Edmunds, a journey of about 10 miles by road from Bury St Edmunds, and 40 miles by road from Norwich.   Public transport options to RAF Honington are limited; Bus 332 links RAF Honington with Bury St Edmunds, around 30 minute journey time, but only a limited number of services operate on a Saturday.

The following courses will be available:

1. Open (Elite) – teams of 4, at least two of whom must be female with women running the first and last legs. TD5.
2. Veteran (40+) - 3 legs, free running order, with teams consisting of 3 people, of which at least one must be female. TD5. Middle leg shorter.
3. Super Veteran (55+) - 3 legs, free running order, with teams consisting of 3 people, of which at least one must be female. TD5. Middle leg shorter.
4. Ultra Veteran (65+) - 3 legs, free running order, with teams consisting of 3 people, of which at least one must be female. TD5. Middle leg shorter.
5. Junior (16-) - 3 legs, free running order, with teams consisting of 3 people, of which at least one must be female. TD5. Middle leg shorter.
6. Young Juniors (12-) - 3 legs, free running order, with teams consisting of 3 people, of which at least one must be female. TD2. Ungaffled.
7. Ad Hoc – teams of 3, at least one of whom must be female. TD5. Middle leg shorter. Not a championship class.
