Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday 8th June for the Ennerdale Horseshoe.
Registration opens at 09.00 at the scout camp race base GR 088154.
Runners will proceed to the start area at 10.45.
Please familiarise yourself with the race route by using the details on SiEntries site or the CFRA site www.cfra.co.uk/ennerdalemap.pdf, especially if this is your first time competing in this race.
Pete Bland Sports shop/Van will be there so you will be able to get some last minute supplies if required.
Please make sure you bring a full set of kit, with full waterproof body cover. We will be carrying out kit inspections at the start line. At this point the weather looks like it will be overcast and showery. Please keep your eye on the western fells forecast, and make sure you bring sunscreen and cap to protect yourselves should the forecast change.
Parking is limited so please share transport where possible. The parking will cost £5 per car and it would be helpful if you had the right change with you. The race permit issued by NT and local partners specifies that we are not to use the public parking areas so please use the 2 car parks listed below.
Competitor parking is at two locations near to the scout camp that acts as the race base. You will be directed to parking 1 until this is full and then to parking 2.
Parking 1 – United Utilities pump house GR083153 – 5 minute walk to the registration and start
Parking 2 – Private ground GR075158 – 15/20 minute walk to the registration and start
Marshals will be at both parking locations to direct you, please follow their instructions.
I am also asked to remind runners and spectators not to go into the local streams and rivers pre or post race as they part of an SSSI.
When you finish or if you retire you must hand in your dibber. You are not shown in the results or recorded as safely off the course until you hand in your dibber and failure to do so could trigger a search by safety teams. There is a charge of £30 for any dibber that is not returned and £15 for any broken dibber.

If you scan the QR Code at the bottom of your splits print with your mobile phone, you can see online results on your phone, mobile signal permitting.
We hope you all have a great day. See you on the 8th June.
