The Callin Wild Fell Running league 2023 includes nine eligible races. Entries for two of these races (St Johns and the Manx Mountain Marathon) are managed and entered separately on SiEntries. The remaining seven races can be entered here, either individually or as a block.
If runners wish to qualify for a league position, they must complete at least 5 of the 9 races, to include 1 short, 1 medium and 1 long race. Women over 65 or men over 70 are exempt from a long race but must complete 2 medium. League qualifiers must also have joined a local athletics club before 18/03/2023 and must marshal (or substitute) for one race.
Please read the full details of league eligibility and important rules which can be found here.
Junior and short senior course races can be entered here for Ardwhallan, Snaefell, Laxey and N Barrule. More than one person can be entered at a time. A parent/guardian will need to register and enter for a junior (U18). There is no charge for junior entries. There are 6 junior league races in 2023 (including St Johns and The Killer mile, entered separately). Four of these six must be completed for a place in the junior league.
Fell running takes place on steep, rough and boggy ground, in remote and weather-exposed locations. Full courses are not marked, so self-navigation (using a map and compass) is required.
All the Callin Wild Manx Fell League races take place under FRA rules. Please read these at https://files.fellrunner.org.uk/documents/2022/fra-requirements-for-runners-2022.pdf
